What is the BYU Mars Rover?

The BYU Mars Rover is a student designed, built, and run project overlooked and funded primarily by the Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Physics departments at Brigham Young University. The rover and the team compete annually in the University Rover Challenge near Hanksville, Utah at the Mars Desert Research Station.  In 2013 the project was adopted as a capstone project for MEn.  At least half of the team members are not in the captsone but are volunteers or take the class for research credit.
